Amer Sports organizes a matching donation plan and donates its products to aid Japan

To help Japan in the aftermath of the natural disaster, Amer Sports Corporation and its brand companies have worked together to arrange aid to Japan by collecting products to donate and by organizing a corporate wide matching donation plan. (03/2011)

The donated products are mostly apparel and footwear from Salomon, Wilson, Arc’teryx and Bonfire, and the first shipments have already arrived in Sendai, the area which suffered most. Amer Sports Japan has been in a key role in coordinating the donations with the responsible Ministries to direct the help where it is most needed.

Additionally, Amer Sports organized a corporate wide matching donation plan giving an opportunity for all employees to help and contribute. If an employee donates a sum, Amer Sports matches this contribution to this charity, dollar for dollar, euro for euro. The donations are arranged through Japanese Red Cross to ensure that the contributions reach the people in need.
