Precor equipment key to Pittsburgh YMCA health mission

As part of a strategy of creating wellness services that expand the accessibility, quality and consistency of balanced health opportunities for families and individuals of all ages and incomes, the YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh has chosen Precor as its exclusive fitness equipment supplier.
“Beginning or maintaining a healthy lifestyle requires a change in behavior for most people, and it can take a lot to get them engaged in regular exercise. Access to high-quality, leading-edge equipment is an important part of getting people excited about exercise and their health forecast,” said Eric K. Through the three-year agreement, Precor will provide the YMCA’s wellness centers with cardiovascular and strength equipment, along with integrated Cardio Theater personal viewing screens, fusing entertainment with exercise to improve the overall user experience.
“Simply put, with Precor equipment and the personal viewing screens, exercise becomes more fun,” said Mann.
With 10 wellness facilities throughout the metropolitan area and more slated for construction, the YMCA serves participants throughout Allegheny County with programs including after-school care and childcare, outdoor camping, community outreach, sports, health and wellness, youth counseling and senior assistance.
