Notification

Pursuant the January 1999 amendment to the Finnish Securities Market Act of 1989 (Section 2:9) Amer Group Plc has been notified on 4 June 1999 that Fidelity International Limited (FIL) and its direct and indirect subsidiaries now own a total of 2,480,400 Amer Group A shares, representing 10.20 per cent of the paid up share capital and votes of the Company. The acquisitions exceeding one-tenth of the Company's share capital were made on 1 June, 1999. The Company's capital consists of 24,326,895 shares in issue.
