Mr Kari Kauniskangas appointed President, Amer Sports Europe
Mr Kari Kauniskangas (38) has been appointed as President, Amer Sports Europe, effective 1 May 2000, based in Gräfelfing, Germany. Amer Sports Europe is a part of Amer Group's own global distribution organisation, which operates under the name Amer Sports and is responsible for the Group's whole portfolio of sports equipment such as Wilson, Atomic and Oxygen. In his new position Kauniskangas is responsible for Amer Sports Europe's businesses as well as Wilson brand in Europe. He reports directly to Amer Group's President & CEO Roger Talermo.
Kauniskangas has an extensive international career at Amer Group. He joined the company in 1984 and held first various marketing positions. He served at Wilson Sporting Goods Co.'s organisation in the US as Director, Business Development. In Germany he started as Business Development Manager at Wilson Sporting Goods Europe, but was soon appointed to Export Director and lately Commercial Director. Last August Kauniskangas was appointed as Interim General Manager, Amer Sports Europe.
