Amer Group to set up a new distribution organisation for the nordic countries

Amer Group is reorganising Wilson, Atomic and Oxygen's distribution in the Nordic countries in a move to boost their market share through improved logistics and cus-tomer service.
Amer is taking over distribution in Sweden and is establishing a new subsidiary, Amer Sports Sverige AB, to handle these operations as of July 1, 1999. Mr Johan Hedberg (33), currently Tour & Product Manager for Wilson Team and Racquet Sports for Europe, has been appointed the new Country Manager for Sweden. The new company will be located in Malmö at the same premises as the former distributor.
Following the Nordic restructuring, Mr Kari Haapiainen, Managing Director of Amer Sport Finland, is taking on other responsibilities within the Group. Mr Ari Alkio (37), currently Product Manager for Wilson Racquet and Team Sports, has been appointed the new Country Manager for Finland. He will be responsible for Wilson, Atomic and Oxygen products in Finland as of 1 July, 1999.
Both Amer Sports Sweden and Amer Sports Finland are part of Amer Sports Nordic, which will be responsible for Amer's whole portfolio of sporting goods in Sweden and Finland. In Denmark, Norway and Iceland, Wilson, Atomic and Oxygen products will continue to be distributed by independent distributors. Mr Kari Kauniskangas (37), Commercial Director of Amer Sports Europe, has been appointed head of Amer Sports Nordic, currently based in Munich.
