Its main products are aerobic exercise equipment, strength-training systems and entertainment systems. Precor is the world’s leading manufacturer of elliptical crosstrainers.

Precor joined the Amer Sports family of sports equipment brands in 2002. Headquartered near Seattle, in the United States, Precor employed 795 people at the end of 2006. Precor offers a combination of fitness equipment for the commercial and home environment, augmented by entertainment and technology services for commercial markets: elliptical fitness crosstrainers, treadmills, exercise cycles, climbers, strength training equipment and systems as well as technology and entertainment systems and services.
Precor's Distribution System
Product distribution is divided into three categories:- Precor home products are distributed primarily through a North American network of dealers, or specialty retailers, who also provide customer service and support.
- Precor commercial products are sold to major national North American fitness organizations directly by Precor, with a dealer network selling to local and regional fitness organizations. Dealers also sell Precor products in commercial vertical markets including hospitality/spa, university and government channels. Many Precor dealers operate separate divisions to sell home and commercial equipment.
- Precor's international division manages distribution of home and commercial products to more than 100 countries through the Amer distribution network, and sells through a network of authorized Precor distributors. To address specific market needs, the Precor line for international distribution includes strength equipment and "spinning" cycles distributed exclusively in International markets.
