Changes in Amer Sports structure and leadership team
In line with Amer Sports strategy to accelerate growth in Connected Devices and Services, the company is establishing a Connected Devices and Services Category, covering Amer Sports’ digital services and technologies, as well as Sports Instruments (Suunto). Amer Sports’ Chief Digital Officer Heikki Norta is appointed President, Amer Sports Connected Devices and Services. Mikko Moilanen, President of Sports Instruments and member of Amer Sports Executive Board, has decided to leave the company to pursue his career outside of Amer Sports. His last day at Amer Sports will be December 31, 2016.
Simultaneously, to pursue on-going integration and scale & synergy, Amer Sports completes its global omni-channel Go to Market model and integrates the Go to Market organization under one global leadership. Michael White, currently Amer Sports’ Chief Commercial Officer and General Manager, EMEA and Americas, will assume the direct responsibility also for the Asia Pacific region as Chief Commercial Officer. Matt Gold, currently General Manager for Asia Pacific and member of Amer Sports Executive Board, has decided to leave the company to pursue his career outside of Amer Sports. His last day at Amer Sports will be February 17, 2017.
Mr. Norta and Mr. White will continue as members of the company Executive Board and they both continue to report to Heikki Takala, President & CEO of Amer Sports. The new positions are effective immediately.
