Our sustainability strategy

At Amer Sports, we are united by our purpose of elevating the world through sport. Together with our iconic brands, we want to build a sustainability culture that encourages all of us to think bigger, go further, and be better — and to be a positive force in the world.
Our sustainability strategy supports our growth strategy and is implemented in a sustainable way across the group. We protect our long-term value by understanding our role in society and continuously challenging our decisions against our sustainability commitments.
We focus on elevating the world through sport, charging towards net zero, championing a circular world, and raising the bar for our supply chain. These focus areas are based on our double materiality assessment (DMA) and aligned with global frameworks such as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
“We are not building our business for the next quarter or next year—we are building it for the next 100 years. We want to make sure that the future generations can enjoy the outdoors and fields of play the same way we can.”
—Anne Larilahti, Senior Vice President Sustainability, Amer Sports
Our focus areas

Elevating the world through sport (SDG 3)
Physical inactivity is rising globally — nearly one-third of adults and up to 80% of young people are not reaching recommended activity levels¹. This has real consequences for health, social inclusion, and resilience. As a global collective of sports and outdoor brands, we are in a unique position to make a difference. We promote health, wellbeing, and active lifestyles through our brands and employee initiatives. Our products support sports participation and contribute to better physical and mental health, and as a member of the World Federation of Sporting Goods Industry (WFSGI), we promote global efforts to increase physical activity.

Charging towards net zero (SDG 13)
We are committed to the Paris Agreement and the goal of limiting global warming to 1.5°C. In January 2025, the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) validated our near- and long-term emissions reduction targets. Our Climate Program, launched in 2024, focuses on decarbonizing our operations and value chain, with actions including supplier engagement, brand-level roadmaps, and transitioning to renewable energy. In 2025, 86% of electricity consumed across our own sites came from renewable sources, up from 58% in 2024.

Championing a circular world (SDG 12)
We aim to reduce our environmental impact by advancing circularity across our value chain. We focus on sustainable product design, responsible materials sourcing, and circular business models including repair, resale, and takeback. In 2025, 19.3% of materials used in our apparel and footwear were recycled, up from 13% in 2024, and our brands continued to scale circular services globally.

Raising the bar for our supply chain (SDG 8)
We collaborate with our suppliers to promote fair labor conditions, respect human rights, and improve environmental performance. We conduct third-party audits, country risk assessments, and regular training to monitor and strengthen compliance with our Supplier Code of Conduct. In 2025, 99% of our finished goods purchases were sourced from suppliers audited according to our Supplier Code of Conduct and the approved audit methodology of the Fair Labor Association (FLA). The Amer Sports Human Rights Policy provides additional commitments on how our human rights work is implemented across our brands and value chain.

Why these priorities?
Our sustainability strategy focuses on elevating the world through sport, charging towards net-zero, championing a circular world, and raising the bar for our supply chain. It is based on a double materiality assessment, identifying sustainability topics that are both impactful to the environment and society and financially material to our business.
