Diversity, equity and inclusion

Amer Sports strives for diverse, equal, and inclusive (DEI) professional lives for all. We expect all our employees to treat each other and our broad stakeholder network with respect. 

A sense of belonging and inclusion form an essential part of well-being and quality of life at work. We at Amer Sports promote equal opportunities for all and have zero tolerance for discrimination of any kind.

We continue to promote diversity of genders and nationalities. We have set targets for gender diversity in our overall employee population and people manager positions. We want to ensure that personal characteristics – such as gender, age, and ethnic background – do not limit an individual’s opportunity to succeed, and that all employees can be their authentic selves in the workplace.

In 2023, we agreed on a common DE&I framework for Amer Sports to further develop diversity, equal opportunities, and inclusion. We value different perspectives – they make us more creative and innovative, contributing to our competitiveness and growth.

Our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace

We expect all our employees to be aware of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI)—as stated in our Code of Conduct. Together, we ensure and maintain work environments that are free from harassment and inappropriate behavior. As part of the Code of Conduct training, all Amer Sports’ employees learn about DEI matters.

We embrace our global community of more than 11,000 people who represent many nationalities and cultures. We value different perspectives—they make us more creative and innovative, which contributes to our competitiveness and growth. We ensure that no one is treated differently because of their ethnicity, race, religion, political opinions, age, nationality, gender, disability, or sexual orientation. We foster an inclusive work environment based on respect and collaboration where everyone can be their authentic selves and have equal opportunities to participate, contribute, and succeed. We acknowledge we have work to do to advance diversity and inclusion to unlock our full potential to elevate the world through sport.

In our DEI work we focus on:

  1. the share of underrepresented genders across all organizational levels.
  2. diversity in terms of different backgrounds, including but not limited to industrial experience and education.
  3. employee awareness of diversity and inclusion.
  4. equal opportunities for continuous development and learning for all employees.
  5. equal pay for similar work with greater transparency.
  6. inclusive principles in our ways of working.
