Drawn by Amer Sports’ transformation and growth journey, Pascal saw an opportunity to contribute to meaningful change and create a lasting impact. In this interview, he shares what makes the transformation meaningful and explains why developing collaboration and delivering value matter to him.
What made you want to join Amer Sports?
Both the context at Amer Sports and the role itself aligned with my personal values and aspirations. I am highly purpose-driven, and I see my role as a technology leader as to partner with organizations to drive change and help them become more adaptable.
What appealed to me about Amer Sports is that there is not only a strong agenda in terms of transformation, but also, all the conditions are in place for a successful one: a strong and clear vision for the outcome, a mandate to make it happen, and most importantly, respect for the collaborators throughout. I felt it was an exciting playground where I could contribute.
Can you share a favorite moment from your time at Amer Sports so far?
I joined the company quite recently, but what I have valued most is the time I’ve spent with people. Everyone is genuinely passionate about what they do and about our brands. Every person I have met is committed to doing their best while remaining open to feedback and change.
What excites you most about where Amer Sports IT is heading?
Our company has an ambitious digital transformation agenda and growth strategy. I believe this creates excellent conditions to have an impact and bring value to both our customers and consumers, as well as to the organization as a whole.
What’s your favorite product by one of our brands, and why?
I have been a consumer of some of the brands even before joining Amer Sports. I am a rock climber and an alpine mountaineer. My choice of hardshells has always been Arc’teryx jackets, as they meet my needs: optimum protection while enabling me to move fast and light. I have owned one Arc’teryx jacket for more than 10 years, and it has accompanied me on many adventures. As a consumer, I appreciate that I have been able to have it repaired through the ReBIRDTM repair service, even though it is now a discontinued model.
